my boy - june kit layout by jenny

I have my last layout to share with you all this evening using the amazing June kit!!!

Every summer we take photos of the boys, their yearly photo shoot. Well, I'm not sure why I haven't scrapped any from 2010 yet, but omg, this photo of Jacob was perfect!! I kind of already had the layout planned in my head, and after finding this photo, I knew exactly what I was going to do!!! :D

I did a bit of fussy cutting, made my own button and tag, and punched some stars for embellishing.

June kit project by Abby!

Hi! Abby here and today I'm sharing a card that I made using the BR June kit. I hope you were able to get a kit before they sold out! 

With all the gorgeous blues and yellows, I thought of the sky and sun rays. 

I love the rosette, perfect for a sun.. I outlined it and also the sun rays with the mustard seed distress Stickles. The clouds I drew freehand and then added those great Authentique word and alpha elements. :)

Stay tuned for another great project from Jenny and soon Laura-Lee will be revealing the July kit. I received mine in the mail yesterday and I am hopelessly IN LOVE!! I can't wait to get busy with it, soooo adorable!! I guarantee you'll love it, too. Be sure to order they it sell out, if they haven't already!

Friday already...unbelievable how time can go so fast...

summer arrived this week and wow!  yes it's summer!

has it been a tad warm where you are?

it certainly has here! 

I think you should take lots of summer water photos...just sayin :)

Hello everyone!! 

Jenny here today, and I must say, I love this kit!!! :D  The colors, the pp, the kraft, it is all amazing!! 

I have a layout to share that showcases that gorgeous green TH kraft-core paper. LOVE that paper!!

This was a sweet moment captured at the local duck pond. The boys had just finished feeding the ducks, and sat down to watch them swim around. I love getting photos like this, natural, not posed, showing how sweet they really are together! :)

This kit has been so much fun to play with!! The colors are gorgeous, and so easy to work with! I am loving the greens with the pop of golden yellow on this layout. I used my whole punch and circle punch to make some confetti for added interest, something I am loving now! :) 

Is everyone working on their June 8th sketch?? Another goes up on Friday!! Excited?!?

June kit layout by Abby

Today in the US, we celebrate Father's Day.. a special day for our "other boys" ;) I hope you all have enjoyed the day! :) 

I'm sharing a layout I created using the June Boys Rule kit. One of my most favorite color combinations is blue, brown, yellow.. so you can bet I'm a huge fan of this month's kit! 

This layout came together rather quickly. 

Just some dry painting, border strips, a few embellies, stickles and some doodling. 

This is one of my favorite photos of my son. It's not your typical 'pose, look into the camera and smile'. Sometimes those snapshots you're able to steal when they don't even know you have the camera can be the most precious to you. :)

How are you??

I would like to share a few things with you ...

first...the rosettes...so fun!  These are from the Tim Holtz die and we have cut them with his kraft core paper....and 6 of them are included in your June kit :)

So you will just need to fold them back and forth to create the folds...don't worry, they are scored :)

glue the ends together with some really super good glue...trust me...

then hold them or rest something slightly heavy on them so they stick....

 then here you go!!!

I stuck one of the dimensional stickers in the middle of mine :)

Isn't this kit fabulous?!?! I am loving this color combination, and love all the kraft mixed in! And that cork paper is amazing!! I love the little stars I cut from it using my small star punch! 

This cute little photo is of my little man, Jacob, and me at the zoo. This was his first camel ride! He loved it, at first, lol...after a few minutes he was done!!! ;)

Hope you all will give this sketch a go...can't wait to see all of your creations!!! :D

I can't believe it's been 6 months already...

It's time to have another design team call here at Boys Rule

We are looking for a few ladies to work with our kits each month.

As part of the team you will be required to create layouts, cards and projects with the kit and on a rotating basis, post on the Boys Rule blog your creations.

Share and promote, Boys Rule with your social media (facebook, blog etc) using your creations.

You will receive a kit each month and perks as they arise.

All creations must be about boys.
